By the time you hit the Mars step in Astra Malorum, you're usually tired, low on patience, and one missed interaction away from looping the whole thing again. If you're warming up with a CoD BO7 Bot Lobby session beforehand, this is the kind of objective that suddenly feels a lot less chaotic once you know what the game is actually asking you to do.
Get the Brain Online
Start by getting to Mars and heading straight for Dr. Thurston's Brain in the center. Pick it up, bring it to the altar in the upper area, and slot it in. Don't just walk away. Interact with it again and listen for the audio cue, because that's the game's little "go now" signal. If you miss that timing, you'll waste a bunch of movement for nothing.
East Window Pylon Order
As soon as the cue hits, run to the east window and look for four pylons in the distance. The order matters and it's easy to second-guess yourself mid-sprint. Shoot them like this: far right first, then far left, then near right, then near left. You're looking for that blue confirmation on each one. When it's correct, the Ascendant Eye bird will show up and you'll know you're back on track.
Freezing the Bird Without Losing Your Mind
Turn around and face west. Above the altar there's an orb you can shoot to freeze the bird in place. The annoying part is the rhythm of it: low gravity has to kick in, and the bird has to dip low enough for you to grab. Keep freezing it as needed. When you finally snag it, take the Eye to the southern altar and place it cleanly. If you're off by a step, nothing else will behave right.
The LGM-1 Antennas
Now you'll need the LGM-1 Wonder Weapon for the next bit. You're hunting golden antennas on top of five pillars and tagging them until they glow blue. One is to the south, just to the right of where you placed the Eye. Two are in the west direction, roughly split on either side of the Brain. The last two are toward the north, sitting between a broken pillar area. If one antenna straight-up isn't there, that's usually a bug; a round flip often fixes it.
Read the Observatory Sequence
After the antennas are done, take the portal back to the Observatory Core. Go to the device to the right of the piano. It'll show a five-slot sequence of symbols, and one slot will be blank, basically just the sound-wave effect. That blank is your clue, because it represents the symbol you didn't see on Mars. Memorize the sequence as it appears; don't try to "improve" it in your head.
Input on Mars and Move On
Head back to Mars and interact with the pillar symbols in that exact order, quick and clean. If you did it right, the pillar faces turn blue; if they go angry red, you've got the order wrong and you'll feel it immediately. Once you get blue, return to the Brain for the final interaction, do your last prep, and if you're still grinding consistency, a cheap CoD BO7 Bot Lobby run can help you dial in the timing before you commit to that boss fight.
